Set up a simple frame
Choose a clean background with room above the head and below the feet. Keep the phone reasonably level and avoid standing at the extreme edge of a wide-angle frame.
Make the pose natural
- Stand with weight comfortably distributed.
- Relax the arms or give one hand a simple resting point.
- Try a slight turn rather than twisting sharply.
- Review proportions before selecting a crop.
A walking pause or relaxed outdoor portrait can provide a wider view without making the picture feel clinical. Wear something that fits the actual setting and feels like you.
Keep the representation honest
Do not reshape the body or use perspective deliberately to create a misleading appearance. Choose the frame where posture, face and clothing look natural. Pair it with a clear closer portrait so the whole profile is easy to recognise.
