Check the social context
Choose a recent, relaxed picture rather than a crowded scene where faces are tiny. Avoid a crop that makes an ordinary friend look like an unexplained partner or removes people awkwardly.
Review before uploading
- Confirm you stand out without a caption puzzle.
- Respect other people's preferences about appearing.
- Keep private event details out of view.
- Use only one group image if others repeat the same role.
A clear picture with two friends at an ordinary outing can add context. A large wedding group may work better as a personal memory than a profile card.
Do not make the group do the introduction
The picture should add a social moment after your appearance is already clear. If explaining the image requires arrows, jokes about which person you are or heavy cropping, choose a simpler photograph instead.
