Identify what distracts
If the problem is an object at the edge, a crop may solve it cleanly. If the entire setting is busy, a different original photograph may be stronger than a large artificial blur.
Compare restrained options
- Keep the unedited reference.
- Try a slightly tighter composition.
- If using blur elsewhere, inspect subject edges carefully.
- Choose the version that still feels like a real scene.
A bright sign behind your shoulder might remain distracting even when blurred. Moving or cropping it out can be more effective than increasing the effect.
Match the tool to the task
Do not assume every editor can separate a subject or reconstruct a background. Charmshots's local editor performs ordinary canvas edits; its capabilities should be assessed as they actually appear. Choose a new frame when an edit would require inventing substantial parts of the picture.
